I was at the Giants game last thursday they AGAIN announced it as a sell out before seven of you tell me that I don't understand what a sell out is, I do, it's the number of tickets sold, not the actual folks in attendance. Last Thursday was not a sell out, there were whole sections in the upper occupied. I'm calling BS that 5-10 thousand folks collectively decided to buy the worst seats in the house and then didn't come to the game while 25 thousand others who spent much more bought and attended. the real question is, why the farce?
Sports Event Food Prices?
Pro sports event food prices are INSANE! 4, 5 and even 6 times more than this stuff would cost you anywhere else! After you get gouged for parking, gouged for tickets, they then gouge you for food. No wonder those franchises are worth hundreds of millions. But what is really weird is how people that go to these so easily pay these insane prices without so much as a peep of protest. They see the same hot dogs selling for 99 cents at 7-11 and hold their hand out for the penny change...but $5 or more for this same hot dog at a pro sports event is fine? To see a 49er game people have to save up hundreds of dollars for the gas, parking, tickets and food. That's just ONE GAME! Paying to go to pro sports events for stressed working class people has become more and more an impractical and unaffordable way to see entertainment. People complain about 2 hours of movie going at almost $10 a pop each? But they think paying hundreds at a sporting event is fine? That craziness is ending however. People are finally seeing reality here. The reality that the prices for these are laughably too high. Those crazy hyper-inflated pro-sports event costs are over.
